We pride ourselves in guaranteeing your complete satisfaction with every purchase you make from Independent Stationers. You may request a Return Authorization for most products within 30 days from the original date of purchase for an exchange or for a full refund and credit.

Certain Return exclusions and exceptions are noted below:

Condition of merchandise
All returns must be received by Independent Stationers in resalable condition with all original packing materials, parts and accessories intact and in new condition. Independent Stationers reserves the right to deny any return or exchange or credit if a product is not in original/resalable condition.

Damaged merchandise or incorrect shipment must be reported within 10 days
Merchandise should be inspected at time of delivery. Shipments received with any visible damage to the contents or packing materials should be noted on the delivery receipt or Bill of Lading at the time of delivery. You may also choose to refuse a shipment with obvious damage.

Restocking charge for returns processed after 30 days
All returns must be requested within 30 days to avoid a restocking charge as follows:

1-30 days   0%
30-60 days   15%
61+ days   no return after 60 days

Special Order, Custom Items and Manufacturer Direct
Special and custom items are only returnable in the event of a manufacturers defect or incorrect shipment. These items include custom stamps, food, dated goods and items not normally stocked but special ordered from the manufacturer.

How to return product to Independent Stationers

  1. In order to process your return in the most efficient and accurate manner please complete the Independent Stationers Authorization for Return (AR) form found (click here). To complete this form you will need to provide us with your Independent Stationers account number, invoice number from which the item was purchased, the item number, description of the item and reason for return.

  2. Our Customer Care representative will email you a shipping label form that will contain all the information needed to properly process you return. Just place this form on the outside of the shipping container and ship the product back to the address noted on the label.
  3. When we receive the product back in our distribution center, we will inspect the condition and promptly issue the appropriate credit in the same manner as the original items was billed.
